Vision

>> To provide an opportunity for junior Chinese clinical investigators/scientists the training opportunity in oncology translational research & early phase drug development
>> To connect China to global oncology drug development 

 Scope of Program

>> 1–2 qualified candidates per year from academic research centers or hospitals that are actively involved and accredited for oncology early phase study
>> At least 3 months training programs at 1-2 phase 1 cancer centers in the United States 
>> Participating training centers include but not limit to: 
(1) MDACC MD Anderson Cancer Center
(2) MSKCC Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center 
(3) DFCI Dana Farber Cancer Institute 
(4) MGH Massachusetts General Hospital 
(5) Wisconsin University Comprehensive Cancer Center
(6) H. Lee Moitt Cancer Center & Research Institute
(7) Georgia Regents University Cancer Center
(8) Cancer Institute of New Jersey
(9) Cancer therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP) at National Cancer Institute
>> Training expenses are shared between the candidates’ home institute and USCACA EFFORT Program
>> USCACA may help for designing the training program in  collaboration with the home institution and the candidate
>> Program officially rolled out in 3Q2015
Candidate Selection Criteria
(1) Junior physician or clinical researcher with strong interest in oncology early clinical development and translational research
(2) Supported by home institute or hospital
(3) Willing to fulfil the requirements of training site and complete training program indicated in your application. 
(4) Willing to comply with USCACA guidance on training program
(5) Willing to share training experience at workshops and conferences at request and approval by USCACA
(6) All trainees will be selected and approved by Program Governance Committee

Financial Support Criteria

>> For the short-term training (3-6 months):$800-100, no more than $5K in total per person 

>> For the mid-long term training (> 6 months):$500-600 per month, no more than $10K in total per person
